Sample Client Fee agreement
This agreement is entered into this ______ day of _____________ by and between COMPLETE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS, INC.-Yvette B. Geater, “Consultant”, and, _____________________“Client”.
Client hires and retains consultant for the purposes of providing those professional services as specified on “Attachment A” of this agreement.
Client agrees to pay consultant as an initial retainer the sum of $ ______________to be
credited to the account of client against all charges incurred in providing those services as specified on attachment A. In addition, client agrees to reimburse or pay consultant for the following additional charges (if any) in connection with those services specified on attachment A. Retainer is due and payable by ________________.
Client understands, and further acknowledges that consultant is not a licensed attorney authorized to practice law in the State of California. Consultant does not provide or give legal advice of any kind. Client understands it is the responsibility of client to obtain independent legal advice in matters dealing with the law or the effect of legal decisions. Any advice provided to client by consultant is limited to tax advice, and limited to the scope of this agreement for specific services specified on attachment A, which may include paralegal services and business consulting services as agreed.
Client agrees to pay all invoices within 5-days of receipt of mailing of same, and further agrees to notify consultant of any errors or disputes upon receipt of any billing invoice once received. Billing invoices are transmitted to client between the 1ST and 30th of each month, and are due no later than the 5th day of the following month. Client further agrees to pay late charges in the amount of $10.00 per billing invoice and interest at the rate of 1.0% per month on all unpaid balances. In any dispute to recover fees from client due to consultant, client agrees further to pay all normal collection costs, including court fees, filing fees, and reasonable attorney fees as may be awarded by a court.
